I offer translation services from German into English, as well as from English into German in certain contexts. Likewise, if you're looking for private German language tuition, do not

• Native British English speaker with native-like understanding of German, and extremely proficient active use of German, even in legal contexts

• I attended a German grammar school for three years, studied at university in Austria and have gained more than six years of experience as a staff translator for German government institutions

• I hold an MA with Honours of the first class in Interpreting and Translating (German, French) from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh

• A lifelong fascination with and passion for the intricacies of the German language

• Excellent attention to detail 

• Specialist knowledge of legal and scientific terms in German

• Specialist knowledge of classical music terminology in both German and English thanks to having completed the equivalent of music A level in Germany

• I also offer language tuition to an advanced level in German
